June 26, 2008

BOBO: I was tricked! First, I was locked in the stupid spare bedroom while someone was banging around on the front door. Then, Mom let me out and I noticed that she had accidentally left the front door open! Escape time! I was disappointed to find a wall of glass blocked my exit. Yet another wall separating me from the freedom to roam.

COCOA: I find many delicious things to munch on every day but I always go back to my special toy because it sometimes gives me a snack. Mom was home all day today, so I just relaxed and slept and ate. It was wonderful.

SOCK WARS 2008!!!

June 20, 2008

BOBO: Sometimes, I just sit back and watch things unfold. It was stormy today, so I didn't really feel up for confrontation anyway. It was pretty fascinating to watch Cocoa demolish an entire phone book.

COCOA: They've been gone a long time. Maybe they're not coming back. How will I eat? What if I run out of water? I feel like I'm slowly going crazy!! I played with my toys, went outside and came back in a million times, and I've chewed on everything I can chew on. I must find a way to entertain myself, or I must escape!

June 18, 2008

BOBO: Summertime = hot, buggy, and afternoon storms. No one seems to understand the thunderstorms like I do. They are dangerous! Lightning kills! That's why I go to a safe room - an interior bathroom - and stay away from windows. Mom & Dad seem to like storms, and I think Cocoa is too dumb to know the difference.

COCOA: Bobo kept ignoring me this afternoon, then he ran off and hid in the bathroom. I guess he's being anti-social today. After a while, he came back in and got on my favorite couch spot! I'll show him! I'll get up there with him and lick him for a while.

I got confused today. I found what I thought was a toy, but it turned out to be another one of those flip-flop things Mom likes. Oops. Too late.

BOBO: It was good to see Aunt Stephanie this weekend! I haven't seen her in over a month. I introduced her to Cocoa, but she still only had eyes for me. I secretly hoped she would take me to her house to play for a while, but Mom made me get back in the car with the super-freak car panic-attacker. I miss Aunt Steph calling me Boopers! It's my favorite nickname. Don't tell Mom.

COCOA: I hate the car I hate the car I hate the car!

June 14, 2008

BOBO: Today was a hot, but fun day! We went out to a park and I made a bunch of new friends. We also hung out in some water, but I wasn't a huge fan of that. I did get a lot of petting, and a lot of delicious treats.
COCOA: So, we got in the car (I hate it!) and drove. I was nervous we were going to go somewhere scary, so I didn't want to get in. When we stopped, I didn't want to get out. Mom picked me up and made me. I'm glad I went, though, because I went to a big grassy area and there were tons of new friends! I met a bunch, and got treats and lots of water. I went for a swim and these little kids poured water all over me....it was wonderful because it was so hot outside! When Mom wanted me to leave, I tried to resist but she picked me up and put me in the car anyway. FUN DAY!!

June 12, 2008

BOBO: Sometimes being big has its disadvantages. I've tried and tried to escape from under the fence, but can't seem to pull it off. My head fits, but nothing else. I can't complain too much, though, because I go in and out as I please and I get a lot of long walks. I guess I'm just jealous that Cocoa fits under there.

COCOA: On most days, I hang out inside chewing stuff or roll around outside. Sometimes I can hear people on the other side of the wall and I can peek under and watch what they're doing. Well, today I found a way to join them. I have to lay reeeeeeeally flat and wiggle, but then I pop out on the other side of the wall! I ran around for a bit, and the strangers were nice to me. They looked at my cool collar, then the lady talked on the phone while the man pet me. A minute later, Mom came over and picked me up. I didn't even have time to play! I wanted to go back again, but there's something strange blocking our little door. Now I'm stuck inside! I guess I'll just tear up this stuffed bunny instead. What if I need to pee????

June 9, 2008

BOBO: What a nipper! Cocoa likes to munch on me. I'm glad she doesn't bite down hard. If she ever does, I'll really show her who is boss. She's also a pig. Since she has eaten my food several times, I've decided to start eating hers too. She left her food bowl for a few minutes this morning, so I ran over and munched it down! Her food is more delicious than mine! Mom acts like I didn't notice that she switched me to a food called "Healthy Weight". What exactly is she saying?

COCOA: Two baths in one week. Just because I rolled in some mud! I tried to get it off of me in the living room by rolling around on the floor, but I still got a bath. The floor got a bath too.

June 6, 2008

BOBO: It's so hot! I've been digging in the dirt a bit to keep cool against the house, but for the most part I'm just staying indoors. I still can't quit panting, though! I don't know how Mom & Dad stay outside all day. They leave in the morning and don't come in until the late afternoon. Cocoa is nuts - she is sunning outside in this heat! I can't get enough water.

COCOA: Well, today I did this thing Mom & Dad called "the vet". They put me in the car (I hate it, I hate it!) and drove me to a new place where there were other dogs out in the open. Then they took me to a smaller room and put me on a table! It was kind of scary, and I thought I might slide off! Someone gave me some treats and poked around on me for a while. She also gave me a lot of head rubbing so I didn't mind too much. It wasn't too bad. Bobo told me they would stick me with a sharp object, but they didn't. I was scared it would be the same place as the last strange place I went. That time, they gave me something that made me sleepy and I woke up with a lot of pain near my tummy. I don't mind going back, but I wish we could walk there and not get in the car! I hate it!

June 5, 2008

BOBO: I love laying on a cool, leather couch on a hot day. Now, if I could only convince someone to bring my food over to me, I'd be a happy man.

COCOA: My teeth are sharp and splendid! I must keep them beautiful and healthy by chewing on nice, crunchy objects!

June 4, 2008

BOBO: Battle Royale!
COCOA: Fun!

June 3, 2008

BOBO: This whole "walking together" thing is kind of annoying. I want to sniff around like I usually do on our walks, but I guess Mom wants me to set a good example or something because she is keeping me on a short leash. Maybe I'll ask Mom to take me out alone and leave Cocoa inside to chew up inappropriate things (that's what she does best, anyway!)

COCOA: I can't help myself. It's like I zero in on a flip-flop and I just have to have it. I thought about hiding the pieces, but Mom found it before I had a chance. She yelled at me and threw another flip-flop at me. I hid for a little bit behind the couch, but she told me to come out and eat my breakfast. I'm definitely not going to pass up the opportunity to eat!!

June 1, 2008

BOBO: Oh. My. God. The storm. Can't talk.

COCOA: I think my name is Cocoa. However, I think Dad might be talking to me when he says "Cocoa Bean". Mom keeps saying "Hey Beans" to me, so maybe my name is Beans. I'm confused. I'm also confused because Bobo runs to them if they say "Bobo", "BoBear", "Pookie", "Pookie Lee", "Lee Lee", or "My Precious". Maybe they are confused.
